Bitumen in an Asphalt Concrete mix must have such properties as the adhesiveness to mineral aggregates as well as the resistance to high temperature and oxidation process. These properties include, ductility, penetration, softening point, and penetration index. In this research, Bitumen of Micro Asbuton ( BMA ) together with Latex are used as additive agents for the petroleum bitumen to improve the quality of bitumen and quality asphalt concrete mixture. From Laboratory results, for the quality of bitumen with addition of 10 % BMA in petroleum bitumen reduced penetration by 19 % and increased softening point by 6 %.' Whereas, addition of 10 % BMA and 4 % Latex in petroleum bitumen reduced penetration by 62 % and increased softening point 27 %. Although, penetration of bitumen after being mixed with BMA and Latex was quite low, it was found that ductility of bitumen was not effected, ie. still greatest than 100 cm. For asphalt concrete mixes of quality at the optimum bitumen content, the addition of 10 % BMA and 4 % Latex in petroleum bitumen improved the characteristics of asphalt concrete mixes. With 10 % BMA, the Marshall Stability increased by 9 %, the affects of water Marshall Stability increased by 3 %, and the rate of deformation dicreased by 55 %. Whereas, with 10 % BMA and 4 % Latex the Marshall Stability increased by 12 %, the affects of water Marshall Stability increased 16 %, and the rate of deformation dicreased by 66 %. These ;exults show that the addition of BMA in the mix will improve particularly the resistance to deformation. Whereas, the addition of BMA and Latex in the mix will improve Slightly further the resistance to deformation and will reduce significantly the affects of water on the Stability of the mix. For practical reasons, Micro Asbuton will be used directly in the mix. Therefore, this research just indicates the potential of adding BMA and Latex in the asphalt concrete mix.
